Good Morning, besides spring, but Monday as well, adds new life and new joy to all that is… new opportunities this week…

I’m sure this is one of the worlds favourite Mondays as most people are off today so it’s more of a Sunday, but for those working with horses, it’s just another Monday…however an exciting one for our team as we gallop our first runner today for his race in 10 days time!

At this stage we are still on for our first UK runner next week but I will keep the social media updated with regard to this.

It was amazing being able to attend Newmarket Racing last week and see Native Trail in the flesh. It’s early days yet but I never got to see Frankel in the flesh, so I would say that Native Trail is probably the best horse I’ve ever seen in the flesh. He still has to go and win the Guineas and go on from that, so it’s a big shout, but wow he is impressive. I’ve seen horses like Montjeu, Palace Pier, etc in the flesh, but this lad just looks something quite special, i hope I’m right! An interesting bit of gen, his 3rd dam is the dam of Distant Music, a horse I had the privilege of being around when Barry Hills trained him many years ago when I was lucky to work there and be in the same barn. Completely different types yet so similar in many ways! Don’t you just love racing and it’s history never fades…?

We unfortunately didn’t even get a bid in during the Craven Breeze Up Sales, the quality was outstanding and the sale was super vibrant but currently out of our league from a buying perspective. I will be at Doncaster for the Breeze Up Sale this Thursday as well as at the Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up and Horses In Training the following week. If you want any horses looking at or would like a share in a horse, please contact me. We really need support and more horses to get things going in the UK.

Our babies went back for a second look at the Al Bahathri and it’s always lovely to see the improvement from the first to the second time going there. Something to look forward to, albeit only 2 of them.

Summer is here, Newmarket is absolutely buzzing and if you can, I highly recommend a trip out here for a Saturday morning on the gallops or even better, a few days… Guineas weekend coming up will also be a real buzz. There are also loads of villages surrounding Newmarket with magnificent little pubs to visit with great food, if the high street is too busy for you.

I leave with this quote as usual;

ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS;
-grapes must be crushed to make wine
-diamonds form under pressure
-olives are pressed to release oil
-Seeds grow in darkness
Whenever you feel crushed, under pressure, pressed, or in darkness, you’re in a powerful place of transformation.

Until next Monday, stay safe and keep updated daily following our social media.
