Good Monday Morning
We can only appreciate the miracle of a sunrise, if we have experienced darkness…
…and we are experiencing a glorious summer at the moment and the weather is superb. The photo today linked to the newsletter on social media was taken at 4:30am this morning at the bottom of Long Hill, it’s a 2 year old named Expressionless with a magnificent sunrise in the background. What a way to start the day, especially a Monday! Early bird catches the worm for sure..
Over the past week, we sat around the table with our team of wise encyclopaedic resourceful thoroughbred experts and narrowed the Tattersalls July Sale Catalogue from 852 horses down to a shortlist of 28 horses to purchase from next week. The team will be inspecting the shortlist and trying to find out as much as they can up until the sale and we will hopefully bring a few new prospects home. We are starting up Syndicstes and a Racing Club as well as looking to purchase for individual clients, so please get in contact with us before the sale and join our team.
Mr Fayez missed his run last week due to a small cut on his leg but he has done well since then and is in to run at Yarmouth or Newbury this week Thursday. I am hoping for a little shower or two before then but either way, expect another good effort from him. He really tries his heart out for us every time and has earned prize money 5 times from his 6 starts for us. If we run at Yarmouth, the top class Josephine Gordon rides and if we run at Newbury, the upcoming Abbie Pierce rides. Either way, both get on really well with our little soldier.
It has been some week in the news for racings dream team Gosden/Dettori and interesting to watch it all unfold. In sport this is the inevitable, and I was happy to see Frankie show his class and bang home a group winner from his only ride as well as team Gosden win later that day. Racing and life moves on. Good luck to all. Maybe we will be able to sneak Frankie on one of ours one day.
Talking about Frankie, would he maybe get a King George ride now on Westover, the impressive Irish Derby winner? I’m not saying much, but I will say, this years King George is lining up to be one of the great races in history. Book your Ascot ticket for the 23 July if you haven’t already.
Some may or may not know that I am cycling the 24 hour challenge for Racing Welfare to raise funds for this great charity who do so much for so many people in this great game. Please support by donating to my Just Giving page if you can. The link can be found on my Twitter page. Considering I’ve been so busy training horses and setting up in the UK, I haven’t had much time to train so this will really be a challenge for me and any support for Racing Welfare will be much appreciated.
To leave you for this week, on a sunny summer thought; opportunities are like sunrises. If you wait too long, you miss them!
Until next week, stay updated on our social media platforms.
